NeuroHospitalist Physician

NeuroHospitalist Physician (Neurology)*Intermountain Health is seeking neurohospitalists to join the Intermountain Neurosciences team.

The neurohospitalists are responsible for inpatient neurology at Intermountain Medical Center, Intermountain’s comprehensive stroke center in Murray Utah.

Separately, the neurohospitalists are also responsible for tele-neurosciences, which manages the majority of telestroke, inpatient teleneurology, and other calls for transfers and consultation throughout the Intermountain system.

Telehealth shifts may be worked from our virtual hospital located in Murray, UT, or may be worked from home. Additionally, we can accommodate a proportion of in-person shifts at the comprehensive stroke center vs telehealth shifts that best fits the neurologist's needs, including full-time telehealth work at the virtual hospital, or from home if desired.

We are also able accommodate neurologists seeking partial FTE employment as desired. 1 FTE is 2080 hours per year spilt up into roughly 12-hour shifts (approximately 15 shifts / month). We are able to accommodate those seeking partial FTE employment* Position provides telehealth (stroke, inpatient neurology consults) support to the Intermountain hospitals in Utah and Idaho, as well as in-person coverage of the neurology service at Intermountain Medical Center.

We can be flexible regarding in-person vs telehealth work, as desired by the hired candidate.* Neurohospitalist positions are a part of our larger Neuroscience Institute group which includes Neuro Critical Care physicians, Epileptologists, neurosurgeons, outpatient Neurologists, Neuro and Spine PM&R physicians, Neuro psychologists and Psychiatrists* The neurohospitalist team works closely with the neuro-intensivists team who cover the neurocritical care unit, as well as tele-neurocritical care consults throughout the system.
