Class Description
The purpose of this class is to assist students to become gainfully employed and perform administrative work supporting the employment area of the Job Network Grant.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with college courses to include marketing and / or community outreach required. Four years of full-time experience in business sales, marketing and / or community outreach required.
Work Location may be at the Essex, MD or Catonsville, MD campus.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and / or years of experience in the field.
Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale .

Class Specific Essential Duties
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and / or initiatives.
- Identify resources and tools that can assist others with their individual needs.
- Conduct workshops and presentations, as required.
- Provide academic advisement services, as required.
- Serve on appropriate departmental, division and college-wide committees.
- Maintains department records and files, as required.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
- Manage assigned projects, programs and staff.

Position Specific Essential Duties
- Work with government and nonprofit agencies in need of employment services for their sponsored clients.
- Identify, profile and develop employment strategies and relationships for students.
- Assess candidates’ eligibility for grants, contracts and open enrollment programs based on interests, aptitudes, skill levels, and suitability.
- Track, input and monitor student placement and program progress information via CCBC databases and tracking mechanisms, ensuring up-to-date case management activity.
- Work with CCBC staff to evaluate students’ job search skills and ensure that those skills are developed through CCBC programming.
- Develop and implement Student Employment Plans in conjunction with students’ goals and the programs’ outcomes.
- Plan and implement job search strategies with students that results in employment.
- Contact employers by telephone, e-mail, mail and personal site visits to promote CCBC programs and students.
- Establish strong employer partnerships that result in job placements for CCBC students.
- Work directly with students to ensure training completion, employment, and job retention.
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with community groups and organizations to recruit students for courses and programs.
- Coordinate and conduct Life Skills / Job Readiness trainings for students.
- Manage assigned staff ensuring employment retention deadlines and outcomes are met.
- Manage projects ensuring policies, procedures and tracking requirements are met.
