A sales-oriented and self-driven mindset allows them to think creatively about a business’ needs and carryout the important work to strengthen relationships with current members as well as cultivate relationships with new members and new businesses.

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

1. Membership & Business Development

• Lead the organization’s efforts to recruit, welcome & onboard new members through one-on-one meetings.
• Meet with businesses interested in membership and communicate the benefits for members.
• Manage the new member onboarding process.
• Proactively contacts new businesses to provide an intro to the HOTV Chamber.
• Keep a pulse on member needs and builds relationships through member meetings.
• Overall responsibility of the organization’s retention of existing members.
• Receive and respond to calls and e mails from current members and the public and provide quality customer service.
• Attend chamber events to meet and engage with members.
• Manage all membership accounts in Chamber Master database, create invoices and transact payments for membership, events.

2. Events & Programming

• Plan and coordinate monthly Business After Hours events
• Serve as staff lead for HYPE Young Entrepreneurs group, help to determine meeting dates, secure speakers, manage group communication and FB presence and ensure the HOTV Chamber offers programming that engages young professionals
• Secure sponsorship for signature events.
• Assist with event planning including securing venue, organizing event logistics, budgeting, communicating with vendors, sponsors, and participating members.
• Assist with Chamber networking, educational events and ribbon cuttings

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ experience in marketing, sales, events or fund development
• Event planning knowledge and experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of customer service
• Ability to manage multiple projects and demands simultaneously.
• Sales-oriented mindset with high degree of comfort meeting new people
• Genuine excitement to connect businesses to the opportunities Heart of the Valley Chamber offers
• A self-starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with a wide variety of social media platforms, comfortable learning new software programs and database management
• Available to work some evenings as dictated by events

Pay : $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
