Job Description
The Process Technician is responsible for delivering increased throughput and reduced costs by evaluating, developing, testing, maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and equipment.
This individual will provide technical and administrative support to the Operations and Engineering teams .
- Implement ITW Toolbox tools including In-Lining, MRD, PLS, 80 / 20 and Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout, fixturing and staffing requirements for new or existing production cells
- Install equipment in new cells and re-configure existing production cells to improve manufacturing efficiencies
- Serve as a technical leader to provide operator training and technical guidance for new manufacturing processes or procedure changes
- Provide emergency / unscheduled troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment (experience with PLCs is a plus)
- Read, interpret and comprehend work instructions, technical drawings and electrical / wiring schematics
- Troubleshoot assemblies to the component level (experience with microprocessors and high-voltage low-current circuitry is a plus)
- Assist the Engineering and Quality departments to determine in-process or RMA failures and implement corrective actions on the production floor
- Proficiency with hand tools is a must (machine shop and CNC background are a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel are required (Access and Power-BI are a plus)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus
- Basic math skills and reasoning ability
- Must be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift
- Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance
- Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic
- Good Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
