BK Lobster Baltimore is seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the presentation and quality of food is consistent with our restaurant's high standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to comply with health regulations
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Kitchen Manager
- Perform regular cleaning tasks, including sanitizing countertops, cutting boards, and utensils
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize profitability
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Food Safety Certificate is required
- Familiarity with the Toast POS system is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications :
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent training
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen
