Job Description :
The Financial Analyst, FP&A is responsible for analyzing variances to plan and forecast updates, a wide variety of other management and external reporting and forecasting plus tracking Ventas’s consolidated capital expenditures and forward capital commitments.
This role will work closely with multiple functions throughout the organization from Investments to Asset Management, providing consolidated financial information to leaders in order to inform strategic decision making.
Other responsibilities will include supporting Asset Management teams on key strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist with earnings preparation (including consolidated NOI growth and Q&A for the earnings call), Monthly Business Reviews, investor relations requests and other management and external reporting.
Analyze monthly and quarterly capital expenditure results as part of the financial review and earnings processes. Aggregate and report on any forecast changes for future capital commitments.
Engage with the Asset Management and Investments teams on their capital budgets / forecasts, reporting & tracking vs. actual spend;
help management understand the key risks and opportunities to staying within published guidance.
Collaborate with multiple functions throughout the organization, including Accounting, Construction & Development and IT, in order to prepare information for reporting and analysis purposes.
Provide overall analytic support as needed to Asset Management teams and senior management on key strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests.
Qualifications
1+ years of progressive financial analysis or accounting experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar business field
GPA must be listed on the resume
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze data trends, draw conclusions and create presentable, understandable reports to senior management
Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills
Process and detail oriented; always looking for ways to improve processes
Intellectual curiosity
Strong self-management skills within a highly collaborative team setting
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
