Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with :

  • Four year bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, or related field highly preferred.
  • Must have production knowledge and ability to lead team members with 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Must have lead safety related function within Plant with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO training and experience is a plus.
  • Requires ability to read technical material and develop analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong Excel skills

  • Speaking : Conveying information effectively
  • Critical Thinking : Using logic to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include :

  • Implement company’s safety program for a safe work environment.
  • Manage department, supervise two or more subordinates.
  • Make recommendations on hiring, firing, discipline, and promotions.
  • Resolve worker grievances or escalate unsettled issues.
  • Communicate departmental and plant goals effectively.
  • Plan and prioritize production operations.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet product specifications.
  • Review production reports to resolve operational issues.
  • Ensure machines and equipment operate efficiently.
  • Develop and enforce operational standards.
  • Maintain production data and paperwork accuracy.
  • Enforce company policies (safety, quality, etc.).
  • Assist and train subordinates as needed.
  • Lead manufacturing activities ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and / or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
