Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Cable Assembly Team Leader , for our Faribault, MN facility.
This position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. Trystar’s Cable Assembly Team Leader position is an important part of Trystar’s plan to become the world’s foremost custom solution provider.
Under the direction of the Cable Assembly Supervisor, the Cable Assembly Team Leader will get to lead a team of production associates to execute production, improve and implement effective manufacturing processes, utilize concepts of lean & 6 sigma to drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while working to achieve key performance metrics and meeting / exceeding customer expectations.

In this role you will get to :
- Lead and motivate individuals and support team development in the Production Department.
- Ensure team accountability by enforcing adherence to quality metrics, safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and oversee daily team operations to maintain a seamless workflow, ensure high-quality production, and meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
- Give direction and improvement strategies for manufacturing processes within department.
- Partner with the Supervisor in determining weekly employee schedules, including overtime based on business needs.
- Support Supervisor by providing input regarding hourly associates performance and provide feedback to Supervisor and HR Department in cases of progressive discipline.
- Foster a culture of positive recognition and appreciation within the work area to boost team morale and performance.
- Help Supervisor track attendance and timecard accuracy of hourly associates.
- Support inventory management, packaging, shipping / receiving, and general facility upkeep as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead teams to plan, execute, and deliver project tasks on time, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Give input to Supervisor regarding staffing for daily and future production needs.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Supervisory team to monitor machinery, processes, and work cell layouts, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Assist the Supervisor in conducting safety and training programs to ensure and maintain team compliance and skill development.
- Mentor hourly associates in the work area, facilitating problem-solving and supporting their development.
Job Requirements : BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear direction and feedback.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
- Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work department shift hours and relevant overtime with the team.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP transactions (Epicor preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical assembly, and / or fabrication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced / high growth environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing production demands and priorities in a fast-paced / high growth work environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
