The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for safely cleaning and sanitizing QCC equipment and other basic cleaning throughout the Quality Control Center (QCC).
The tentative schedule for this position will be 5 : 00 PM - 3 : 00 AM, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Pay up to $20 / hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Properly perform lockout / tagout procedures by identifying the energy sources to deenergize and isolate, prior to cleaning and / or sanitizing. without supervision.
- Adhere to personal safety practices that meet OSHA & Papa John's international standards to assure a safe environment for yourself and others without supervision.
- Wash, rinse and sanitize all QCC equipment.
- Perform general housekeeping for the Quality Control Center, as requested.
- Operate floor maintenance equipment to clean carpets and other flooring.
- Use cleaning chemicals and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in a safe and proper manner, in accordance with GMP's and company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete sanitation records.
- Notify management of safety and food safety hazards found within the trailers or QCC.
- Operate forklift / aerial lift / scissors lift and complete associated work permits prior to use.
- Cross train and run production equipment as business needs arise, including tray wash and Denester operations.
- Assist other departments as needed.

DESIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to read and / or understand written and / or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required.
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to operate floor maintenance equipment, including floor scrubbers
- Working knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
- Ability to use basic hand tools
DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Housekeeping, custodial, sanitation experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand, walk, grasp firmly / strongly and / or simply / lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity.
The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and / or down, and lift and / or move up to 60 pounds.
Occasionally, the team member is required to sit, climb, balance, push and / or pull, and lift and / or move over 61 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Essential functions are performed in a distribution / manufacturing environment and in accordance with PJ Food Service safety policies / guidelines.
Exposure to extreme heat and cold. Exposure to high noise levels. Will work in high traffic area and may work at elevated heights.
