Description
SUMMARY :
Scheduled hours are over the graveyard shift (10pm 8am). Duties include assisting guests, acting as resort contact person, rectifying conflicts and problems, and performing clerical duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Makes eye contact, smiles and greets guests warmly and sincerely. To close the previous day in the Patron Management System.
To audit / organize front desk paper work. To verify credit cards and cash receipts totals match end of day totals. Checks guests into and out of hotel.
Makes reservations. Answers telephone for incoming calls as well as internal guests and staff. Follows all BlueWater Resort & Casino cash handling procedures, safety procedures and house rules.
Runs daily reports for accounting and management. Closes out guest services desk credit cards. Logs any special request from in-house and arriving guests.
Combines daily paper work of guest services desk and forwards to accounting. Complies with BlueWater Resort & Casino rules and regulations.
Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws. Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations.
All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
Agent must be a self-starter . There are long periods of down-time, and the agent is required to continue working on assigned tasks.
Must be able to generate, read, and interpret reports from the patron management system. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing (in English).
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :
High school or GED equivalent required. Minimum one year of hotel front desk or night audit experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks preferred.
Required to work the over-night shift (grave-yard).

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Fast paced work environment with many variables that contribute to daily challenges. Involves working in close quarters with other staff members and hotel / resort guests.
