Overview

The Network Security Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of an organization's network infrastructure.

They are responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and events.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
  • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols.
  • Create and maintain security documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security concerns.
  • Configure and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Provide technical support for network security issues.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Proven experience in network security, including firewall management and intrusion detection systems.
  • Expertise in VPN technologies and network security protocols.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and threat intelligence.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis.
  • Proficiency in network security tools and applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in network security.
