Excelsior Village Academies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Founding General Education Elementary School Teacher to join our team.
As a founding teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping our school's culture, curriculum, and instructional practices.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with other dedicated educators to develop and implement innovative and engaging lessons that meet the academic and social-emotional needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement rigorous, standards-based lesson plans that promote student engagement and achievement.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of our students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support the overall success of our school community.
- Utilize data to continually assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure all students are meeting academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices and strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Prior experience working as an elementary school teacher
- Strong knowledge of and experience with standards-based instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Passionate about education and dedicated to student success
