The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel.
You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department to achieve the department's goals
- Oversee the accounting operations of related companies
- Oversee insurance and contractor licenses with CSLB
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts including assisting with AP Review
- Ensure Fixed Asset Schedules are maintained
- Ensure inventory counts are performed
- Review monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Issue timely and complete financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of the consolidated annual report
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts & management reports
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, review or compilation
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A / R, A / P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Oversee month-end and year-end close process
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, external audits and reviews
- Additional controller duties as necessary
