SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, HR - HCMS is the strategic business partner to the Human Resources leadership team and provides support in Workday / Daysforce systems.

Creates and develops the Workday / Daysforce HCM systems strategies around the company's internal HR systems, services, and applications.

Drives the strategy for the team and bridges HCMS Systems and other HR leaders. Connects the strategies of the functional areas to determine enterprise-wide impacts, larger business strategies of the company and decides what is priority for each functional head.

Organizes the team for larger level projects. Partners with stakeholders to increase business efficiency, automate human capital related processes, and provides meaningful data and reporting through various HR technologies.

The Senior Manager, HR - HCMS works closely with colleagues across the HR organization and technology organization in providing data analytics while creating a user-friendly experience from the organization's HCMS Workday / Daysforce systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies opportunities and delivers process enhancements and technology optimization to ensure simple and powerful user experience and performance of HR technology systems.
  • Researches and minimizes problems and pain points.
  • Stays abreast of new improvements to the technology by partnering with vendors to understand roadmaps, releases, and upgrades.
  • Participates actively in the Workday / Daysforce community and serve as the Workday / Daysforce subject matter user expert for the organization.
  • Performs functional configurations for core HCMS supporting modules including but not limited to : Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Time and Attendance, Payroll, Performance Management, Talent Management, and Succession Planning.
  • Partners closely with stakeholders to gather and define the needs of business customers, evaluating options, designs, implementing solutions, change management, and user adoption.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to create, edit, and prepare reports, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Broadens internal working knowledge of Workday / Daysforce through hands-on training to both the HR organization and end-users.
  • Serves as a mentor and advisor to HR and other colleagues to grow and develop Workday / Daysforce expertise and build internal bench strength.
  • Identifies opportunities to create training and knowledge base materials to deliver relevant, modern adult learning.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify needed improvements and enhancements for existing information services and databases.

Recommends and implements solutions.

  • Lead representative and liaison between HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
  • Provides end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance, and escalation management.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HCM systems, including regularly scheduled data audit and clean up initiatives.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves integration errors as needed.
  • Prepares, tests, and process EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) in support of various business needs.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users to best meet the ongoing and changing needs of the business.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Complies with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
  • Measurable Outcomes : Fluent and stable Human Capital Management System business processes running seamlessly to streamline efficiencies in day-to-day tasks within the Workday / Daysforce systems.

Ensure Human Capital Management System configuration is staying abreast of business needs, Workday / Daysforce release, problems for their functional areas and automation possibilities.

Continuously learning new applications and functions in Workday / Daysforce. Ensure protection of all Human Resources systems from a data compliance perspective related to data security and privacy requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Manager, HR - HCMS supervises the HCM Systems team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;

rewarding and appraising employees performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Computer Science, highly related field of study; or equivalent work experience.
  • Seven plus years of related experience.
  • Three plus years of management experience.
  • Workday experience required.
  • Knowledge of Workday / Daysforce highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
