CNO Financial Group’s Accounting and Finance Department are hiring a Sr Staff Accountant Investment Accounting for accounting and reporting responsibilities for the invested assets of CNO Financial Group on a GAAP and statutory basis of accounting.
This is your opportunity to handle activities immediately following trade execution and end with investment deliverables that are ultimately incorporated into the GAAP and statutory financial statements.
As a Sr Staff Accountant Investment Accounting, your responsibilities will include :
- Work with team to ensure the accuracy of daily processing of investment activity, including investigating and correcting investment attributes within the investment subledger database (CAMRA).
- Validate the integrity of the data housed within the subledger.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly workpapers and report deliverables to support investment ledger balances as well as quarterly GAAP and STAT disclosures.
- Assist with coaching and training of less experienced members within the department.
- Participate in various projects for process improvements.
The Sr Staff Accountant Investment Accounting position is well-suited for you if you :

What you’ll need :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Five years of experience in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Proficient in investment accounting concepts.
- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
What will set you apart :
- Proven experience / understanding of investment accounting concepts and statutory reporting preferred.
- Prior experience with insurance or financial services accounting preferred.
- Prior experience with Investment Accounting Systems, such CAMRA, PAM, Singularity, Clearwater, etc.
- Professional designations such as CPA or MBA.
- Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.
All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

Pay Range : $57,900.00 - $86,900.00 Annual
