Description
Educations & Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree in food science, chemistry, biology, microbiology or related scientific field required.
Strong knowledge of food regulations, quality assurance, and safety standards. Excellent project management, communication, and team leadership skills.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development and manufacturing, with 2+ years in a leadership role, is preferred.
Experience with Acidified, LACF and Dairy products is preferred.
Essential Functions :
- Lead and manage the research and development team to create innovative and high-quality food products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new recipes, formulations, and processes.
- Oversee the testing and analysis of new product concepts, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market demands, and emerging technologies to drive product innovation.
- Manage the R&D budget, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Communicate and present R&D finding and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
Other Responsibilities :
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
