Registered Nurse Job, 12 Hours Night Shift with mandatory call, Labor and Delivery Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to work nights at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The average age of patients admitted to the Labor and Delivery unit is 28 years of age. Patients are at some stage of pregnancy.

The most frequent type / conditions of patients are normal laboring patient, labor induction, scheduled cesarean section, high risk patient, and outpatients.

The top diagnoses for Labor and Delivery are threatened premature labor, antepartum; scheduled induction-term, scheduled cesarean section-term or with medical indication, infections of genitourinary tract, antepartum;

and other current maternal conditions classifiable elsewhere, antepartum. Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities : Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.

Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of#CHS#by providing the highest quality care.

Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values : dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills # Qualifications : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.

BSN preferred.# Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas. Obtains and maintains current CPR.
