Talis Group’s client is a well-established industrial facility. They are committed to excellence in the industry and are seeking an experienced Storeroom Supervisor to oversee the organization, control, and ordering of materials, spare parts, and equipment.

Ensure that inventory levels are maintained, orders are placed, and records are accurately maintained.

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES

  • Establish and maintain an efficient layout for the storeroom, optimizing space utilization.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Coordinate with production departments to forecast and plan storeroom and MRO requirements.
  • Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions
  • Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of received materials
  • Maintain a safe and secure storeroom environment
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address any equipment issues or repairs.
  • Issues purchase orders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, transactions, and stock levels.
  • Utilize inventory management software or systems to update and track inventory data.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-year degree and 5 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Forklift certified
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to be on call at all hours; Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required.
