About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Step Down Cardiac Care Job Duration : 13 weeks (facility approval for up to 24 weeks) Shift : Day / Night rotating shift;
3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM / 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown experience is required.
Progressive care experience preferred but not required. Must have 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty before travel.
License : Permanent state license or compact state license required at submission Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH required Must-Have : Minimum of 18 months recent cardiac stepdown experience- Permanent license in a relevant state- Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty area- Active required certifications with nothing pending- Willingness to work every other holiday- Passing scores on ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts) Job Description : Participate in a rotating schedule consisting of alternating two-week day and night shifts, with flexibility to discuss shifts with the nurse manager.
- Complete the necessary orientation modules and assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests.- Adhere to the facility's compliance and badging protocols, including fingerprinting before the start date.
- Work collaboratively within the stepdown cardiac care unit to provide excellent patient care.- Contribute to a supportive and professional environment while ensuring adherence to hospital policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of protocols and procedures relevant to the cardiology unit.- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and continuous professional development opportunities.
Note : Candidates previously working per diem or permanent in the specified health system may not return for 12 months following their end date.
