Growing Property management company in Residential seeks a director of Property Accounting! Location is OC and irvine -
Essential Responsibilities :
Directly manage the Property Accounting team including planning, developing, providing overall guidance and direction, and training the team to success, while operating efficiently to ensure the needs of the business are met in a timely manner.
Proactively identify and analyze opportunities for improving quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of team deliveries, and take action to put solutions in place to achieve optimal results.
Liaise with property management and other stakeholders and functional groups to ensure the property accounting team is delivering responsive, top tier service.
Provide expert knowledge on property accounting and act as go-to resource for team and owner clients.
Review and approve financial accounting working papers to ensure effective property accounting including follow-ups and resolutions as required for best-in-class service and for both internal and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Budgeting : This role will have some involvement in developing and reviewing budgets at the property level.
Audit and Compliance : Coordinate and lead financial audits. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Vendor and Client Relations : Oversee financial relationships with vendors and clients,
negotiating terms and ensuring timely payment processing.
Technology Integration : Identify opportunities to leverage technology solutions for financial reporting and analysis, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
Strategic Planning : Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with the company's growth and expansion plans.
Candidate Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA
qualification is preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in property accounting and financial management with a proven track record of leading and growing teams.
