Description
Essential Functions :
- Manages, creates and maintains contracts and purchase orders concerning the organization's capital equipment
- Utilizes group purchasing organization and any other relevant benchmarking data to effectively negotiate equipment pricing and other contract terms, such as warranties, to achieve optimal value
- Interacts closely with the purchasing department and other to keep planning and projects on schedule and within budget
- Develops and documents processes related to equipment planning and interaction with construction management, facilities, clinical engineering and appropriate project management team members
- Manages equipment coordination with construction management and contractors
- Obtains and coordinates technical data and specifications for submission to architects, design team members and contractors for project coordination
- Works with hospital departments on specifications and prepares requests for proposal as necessary
- Aids in the preparation of the overall capital budget and monitors the capital equipment portfolio
- Adheres to the code of conduct, hospital mission and value statements, and all other facility policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required :
Education - Bachelors degree in Business
Preferred :
Experience - 1+ years of Contracting Experience; 1+ years of Procurement / Buyer Experience
Physical Requirements :
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
