The Regional Medical Director is responsible for aiding in the administrative oversight of clinical strategy and care delivery.
The incumbent in this role, in close collaboration with an operations dyad partner and the executive team, will enhance clinical leadership by helping to identify key opportunities for clinical value and supporting other physicians within their assigned region.
They will achieve those results through actions including : actively training and coaching their team, deploying clinical initiatives and role modeling as good steward of resources .
This person will need to successfully engage with executive leaders of the company to accurately reflect performance of their area while working in a matrixed environment of support resources.
The primary role is to drive culture and clinical performance.
- Employs a servant leadership’ mindset in collaboration with a operations dyad partner; develops and coaches all team members
- Drives optimal clinical care delivery execution, clinical performance outcomes and clinical talent across the region
- Designs, develops, reviews, and executes clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks, compliance measures, provider workflow planning and provider scheduling across the region
- Establishes a trust-based partnership with the Regional Business Director, working within a dyad leadership structure to achieve optimal clinical and operational outcomes
- Drives utilization of customized, end-to-end technology designed to support every aspect of the IVI RMA philosophy.
- Represents the organization externally, as appropriate, determined by the Chief Medical Officer
- Participates in the hiring, evaluation, counseling, and termination of clinical team members (including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and more)
- Serves as a coach / mentor / trainer to clinical leaders and staff providers, giving guidance in best practices. Troubleshoots medical services and issues in priority of urgency according to defined standards
- Attends and participates in monthly financial reviews, quarterly financial reviews, and other dyad-related, financial and talent planning meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer
Qualifications :
- Reproductive Endocrinologist (REI) Doctor
- A valid, active medical license in state of employment required
- A minimum of five (5) years’ clinical work experience providing direct patient care required
- A minimum of 2 year of previous work experience as a Medical Director
- Board certified
- Experienced clinician that has led care teams, scaled clinical operations and held oversight responsibilities over multiple areas preferred
- Experience in working in a dyad relationship highly desired

- Current, relevant and substantial knowledge or areas related to health center licensing and operations, e.g. regulatory / legal, administrative, policy, protocols, and other clinical issues

- Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nation-wide, up to 50% of the time, with overnight stays.
