About the Opportunity

The Roux Institute is seeking a Custom Learning Solutions Architect as we scale our customized learning offerings for B2B audiences aligned with the ambitious growth plans of our learning enterprise.

The primary domains for our customized programs include data analytics, AI / ML, and project management. Our offerings range from 2-hour stand alone workshops to more comprehensive multi-course experiences across roles and audiences.

We work with partners to customize data sets, projects, tech stack, and case studies to ensure that programs are delivering business value.

The Custom Learning Solutions Architect will be responsible for co-designing with our product team, joining partner sales meetings, and sourcing faculty for customized programming in the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Analytics for our partner employees.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the latest data-centric technologies and evolutions in the AI and Analytics space and excellent teaching skills.

The key performance indicators for this role include the following.

  • Quality is paramount, as is relevancy to the market and to our partners’ businesses. We will measure the satisfaction of both the learners (the consumers) and the partners (the buyers) with our learning products
  • Next fiscal year we aim to double our program size, which will mean a meaningful increase in number of courses and programs we run in a given fiscal year.

This role will be a critical partner in defining and deploying an effective program strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications :

Education :

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (computer science, statistics, mathematics, analytics, etc.)
  • Experience : Industry experience in AI and / or Analytics, with demonstrated experience in business application to build credibility with a business audience Experience teaching or designing learning programming with a focus on tangible outcomes with the end-user in mind
  • Skills : Strong Communication / interpersonal skills , with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.

Able to work collaboratively with others to develop and improve course content. Kind and enthusiastic personality. Comfortable programming in R or Python, including exploratory data analysis Experience creating data visualizations and communicating results to varied audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion .

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Education :
  • Experience : Industry experience and deep technical knowledge in AI and Analytics, with demonstrated experience in applying both to business Experience designing and teaching AI and / or analytics in a corporate setting
  • Skills Comfortable programming in R and PythonExperience with : Developing machine learning / AI models , including a solid understanding of data exploration, cleaning, feature engineering, model training and evaluationUsing SQL to access and organize data Deploying AI / ML models to production Writing ETLs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

The responsibilities of this role include :

  • The creation of a repeatable process to make faculty delivering the programs successful in this content area by recommending content, exercise, structures, and pedagogy based on the identified course learning outcomes.
  • Conduct partner discovery and define learning objectives.
  • Co-design and deliver customized non-degree programs in AI and / or Analytics for partner employees based on Northeastern’s successful experiential learning model.

This role will be responsible for both direct teaching and designing content for others to teach.

  • Work closely with the product and partnerships teams to identify partner needs and customize existing Northeastern content to meet partner needs and / or to develop new content.
  • Develop course materials including syllabi, session plans, and assessment tools.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and Analytics to ensure that course content is current and relevant
  • Collaborate with learning designers, product managers, other faculty members and subject matter experts to develop and improve course content.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Design & implementation Learning Experiences 60%

  • Work with faculty and learning design team to facilitate the creation of effective non-credit learning experiences (or credit-based, where appropriate) to be deployed in synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid formats
  • Adapt, customize, and deploy available academic programming in Data Analytics and / or Artificial Intelligence from across Northeastern University

Conduct partner discovery to inform learning offerings 30%

  • Collaborate with the partnerships and product team and to lead learning discovery conversations with Roux Institute partner organizations, by providing subject matter expertise in the areas of Data Analytics and / or AI.
  • These discovery conversations will lead to an understanding of desired outcomes, course format and content areas.

Learning Offerings Improvements 10%

Improve and refine learning offerings in collaboration with the partnerships and product teams.

Review and respond to internal and external data to improve the learning offerings.
