Job Description
Responsible for monitoring the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Completes physician, nurse and other employee verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with staff by-laws, industry trends and standard credentialing procedures.
May complete administrative duties such as ensuring state medical licenses are up-to-date and checking the status on new license applications.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
