We have partnered with a well-known hospital in the Boston area to assist them with a large project that will last for a year.

We need several billers with professional billing and Epic software experience. This is a long-term contract position with the potential to go to full time employment.

  • Responsibilities include : Receives and inputs data received from external departments into technical systems with accuracy.
  • Reviews and verifies all demographic and insurance information utilizing available technologies, payer websites, or by phone contact with third party payers or guarantors.
  • Collaborates with peers to ensure all required information is obtained for resolution of charge edits, claim edits, denials, and appeals in a timely manner, while adhering to government / payer regulation and department policy / procedures.
  • Reviews outstanding charges and collaborates with Sr. Associates to respond timely and accurately for resolution of outstanding balance.
  • Communicate issues and problems identified through daily work to management. May receive and answer inquiries from patients and / or guarantors.
  • Follows established regulations and procedures in the collection, recording, storage and handling of information. Ensures required documentation of issues is complete, accurate, timely and legible.

Protects and preserves confidentiality and integrity of all information according to client’s HIPAA confidentiality policy.

  • Meets short and long term goals and objectives as established for the work unit.
  • Core Skills Include : Attention to detail, good organizational skills, ability to meet priorities within set timeframes, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide effective customer service, which includes the ability to interact
  • professionally and handle sensitive information / issues in a confidential and respectful manner.
  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or challenges are relatively routine.
  • Ability to adhere to processes, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrates professional integrity.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects, as well as perform in a high volume and fast-paced production environment.
