Marcum Family Office is seeking a Senior or Supervisor f or our growing and well-established practice. This position is located in Fort Lauderdale.
The right candidate should be able to travel 25% of the time to Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Miami. This role requires a high-energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day with multiple client accounts, performing various tasks ranging from bookkeeping to lifestyle management
- Handle the team engagements that could include accounts payable processing including wires, ACH payments, and checks related to capital calls / distributions, real estate / household income / disbursements, loan payments, trust distributions, annuity payments, and bank account reconciliations
- Liaise with clients and their advisors, including banking, investment, insurance advisors and legal counsel
- Willingness to accommodate clients’ fluid, demanding needs
- Assist Manaagers and Partners with long-term financial planning for clients, including the preparation of budgets, net worth statements and cash flow statements
- Review and maintain tax records to facilitate tax return preparation for various individual, family partnerships, LLC’s, trusts, and charitable entities
- Handle current and / or recurring payment calendars
- Take careof the administration of payroll for domestic and business employees, including coordination of benefits such as 401(k) and medical
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
- Work on year-end 1099 reporting
Qualifications
- 3 - 6 years of accounting experience
- CPA Firm or related professional services experience is required.
- Superb communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills- Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.
- Able to handle and respond to multiple client and department demands in a timely manner.
- Able to work well with colleagues in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Advanced degree from an accredited university, accounting degree is preferred.
- CPA Designation strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Adobe, MS Excel and Word. Bill and Hubdoc; familiarity with Addepar and Archway is preferred.
