The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Investment Product Consultant to join our growing Wealth Management team! The Investment Product Consultant is a high-profile position, and you will be the primary point of contact for our growing suite of wealth management offerings.
You’ll work closely with advisors to achieve client investment objectives by navigating advisors and their clients across a wide range of investment products and services, helping to build and manage client portfolios, delivering regular market commentary, and promoting the wealth management organization through presentations and conference calls.
The work will be fast-paced and innovative and will require marshaling resources across the organization. You’ll interface regularly with our broader Wealth Management team, help implement portfolio management best practices, and use your critical thinking skills to highlight areas of improvement while pushing our strategic evolution as an investment organization.

The Impact :
As an Investment Product Consultant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :
Work directly with advisors to help build their wealth management business. This may include activities related to : Product Questions : Provide in-depth information regarding Wealth Management products and how they align with specific investment objectives.
Portfolio Review : Evaluate strategies and holdings, and propose changes where applicable.Case Consulting : Help determine the best approach for handling large or complex cases.
General Consulting : Advise on various situations and steer towards appropriate Wealth Management products and services.Sales Assistance : Provide competitive analysis, product selection, and key talking points for sales pitch to the client.
Practice Management : Provide advisors with guidance on how to structure their wealth management practice.
- Produce and disseminate a Weekly Market Commentary.
- Regular presentations on Wealth Management products and services, including a Quarterly New Advisor Call and occasional in-person conferences.
- Organize and participate in the monthly Asset Allocation Committee meeting.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the different investment offerings available through MMLIS.
- Interact with the broader investment organization designed around solving real client problems.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of investment or portfolio management experience.
- CFA or actively working towards becoming a CFA.
- 3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis and portfolio optimization.
The Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or business.
- 7+ years of investment or portfolio management experience.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Salary Range :
$115,900.00-$152,100.00
At MassMutual, we focus on ensuring fair equitable pay, by providing competitive salaries, along with incentive and bonus opportunities for all employees.
Your total compensation package includes either a bonus target or in a sales-focused role a Variable Incentive Compensation component.
