Make a difference as a Commercial Cabinetry Engineer

As an Engineer in our Commercial Case Goods Department at Bench Dogs, you will be instrumental in producing shop drawings that drive our commercial cabinet production team to success.

Your expertise with Cabinet Vision software will allow you to create detailed, precise designs while collaborating closely with project managers, the engineering team, and the production team.

Additionally, your ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven work environment will ensure that projects move smoothly and efficiently.

Are you the Commercial Cabinetry Engineer we're looking for?

To thrive as a Commercial Cabinetry Engineer at Bench Dogs, you will need a solid foundation in technical and computer skills along with a strong understanding of cabinetry, woodworking principles, and millwork fabrication methods.

An ability to read architectural drawings is essential, and experience with software like Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory.

We are willing to train the right person.

As a detail-oriented self-starter, you'll need strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your analytical skills and resourcefulness will be invaluable in quickly finding information and resolving potential issues, making you an integral part of our fast-paced environment dedicated to innovative cabinetry solutions.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Technical and computer skills
  • Experience reading architectural or shop drawings
  • Microsoft Office Suite familiarity (Excel & Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Rhino, Solidworks or similar software preferred but not required
  • Understanding of cabinetry & woodworking principles
  • Familiarity with millwork fabrication methods and materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills and resourcefulness with finding information quickly
  • On-site required 2-3 days per week, in Denver, PA
