Senior Living Resident Driver

Part Time Days with shift hours between 8am - 4pm weekdays

12 hours per week

Pay rate of $15.75 / hour

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Driver for Kensington Place in Columbus, Ohio. Kensington Place offers beautiful, comfortable and secure Senior Living options including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care.

REQUIREMENTS for a Driver with Lutheran Social Services :

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Valid Driver's license with driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES for a Driver with Lutheran Social Services :

• Safety and efficiently transports residents to various locations as determined on the transportation schedule.
• Arrives and departs on time to ensure residents arrive at or depart from their destination in a timely manner.
• Assists residents as necessary as they enter or exit the vehicles.
• Partners with the Activities Coordinator, Resident Services Coordinator and receptionist staff to ensure complete and accurate transportation schedules.
• Monitors transportation schedules on a regular basis to review and resolve any potential timing conflicts.
• Makes recommendations for alternative times when conflicts exist.
• Courteously reminds and informs residents of the times they will be dropped off and picked up from their destinations.
• Adheres to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Ensures that vehicles are clean and presentable both internally and externally.
• May perform minor preventative vehicle maintenance as scheduled or required. Promptly notifies the Office Manager or the Environmental Services Supervisor of any mechanical or equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced.
