SAMCO is looking for a Utility Locator to join our team. The Utility Locator will be based out of our Indianapolis office and is responsible for providing on-site utility locates, photos of marking sites, and billing their completed job tickets.
The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He / she will have a proven track record of efficiency and is motivated to provide accurate results.
Responsibilities :
LOCATE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES IN A DEDICATED SERVICE AREA BECOME CERTIFIED TO LOCATE SPECIFIC UNDERGROUND UTILITIES USING SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT IN A PRE-DETERMINED TIMEFRAME.
BE PREPARED TO WORK OUTDOORS IN ALL POSSIBLE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
WORK AS A TEAM TO MAINTAIN AN ON-TIME JOB SCHEDULE LOCATORS MAY BE SHIFTED TO A SPECIFIC JOB SITE IN ORDER TO HANDLE LARGER JOB TICKETS ON OCCASION.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work well as a team member
- Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manner
- Ability to lift to 55 pounds
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
