Piper Companies is hiring a Paralegal to join a well-established organization located in Greensboro, NC. This role will be on a hybrid scheduled onsite 2-3 days a week /
Responsibilities of the Paralegal :
- Draft and modify vendor contracts, compliance with state / federal laws and regulations including confidentiality agreements, employee agreements, and independent contractor agreements
- Reviewing monthly status reports, litigation memos, and assisting outside counsel with collecting company documents in response to discovery requests
- Maintain legal billing database, review bills to ensure compliance with legal billing guidelines, and communication with external vendors and law firms as necessary
- Coordinate compliance with central legal department filing systems among staff and attorneys
- Ensure compliance to corporate records retention policies are maintained
- Support the preparation of monthly presentations to officers and other periodic internal and external presentations
Requirements of the Paralegal :
- 4+ years of previous Paralegal experience
- Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Suite
- Exceptional attention detail
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation for the Paralegal :
- Salary Range : $20 / hour - $25 / hour depending on professional experience
