Loan Closer

Farmers Bank of Kansas City is growing and needs a highly motivated, adaptable, fast-paced Loan Closer. This position requires 3 years of experience in the Mortgage Industry and is responsible for review of closing documentation for data integrity and prior to fund conditions, funding of loans, and other functions necessary to ensure disbursement of funds pertaining to the mortgage loans and closing of mortgage loan files.

Responsibilities and Duties

Accurately review the title commitment, lock confirmation, approval sheet and loan documents for the write-up of data input into Encompass and assure all documents agree with the loan requirements.

Must be able to interpret and analyze credit reports, title reports, appraisal reports, flood, income / asset verification and analysis.

Prepare closing figures and review / approve CD from the title company for accuracy and that it meets regulatory guidelines.

Manage work flow to accommodate the required minimum files completed per month and to accommodate rush request as needed.

Timely review of the closed loan package to assure accuracy of signed documents and funding is completed on the disbursement date.

Clear suspense items quickly and accurately.

Effectively communicate with team members and liaison between departments to ensure timely and accurate closing and funding of loans.

Find resolutions to issues that arise with both internal and external customers treating all clients with respect.

Must have the ability to work well with others / departments and encourage team effort.

Responsible for assisting other departments and fellow team members with their workloads to ensure a smooth flow of production of loans, which are eligible for sale to investors.

At least 3+ year experience in the mortgage industry.

Strong detail orientation and highly organized.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment; strong sense of urgency, responsiveness and follow through.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Time management skills.

Encompass Loan Origination system experience a plus. Technology Skills

Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Internet Explorer; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to : Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
