Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking a visionary Director of Content and Brand Marketing to lead our efforts to grow brand awareness and global traffic through strong organic optimization of our content, as well as developing strategic brand campaigns to drive awareness among B2B services buyers.

You will lead a team of content professionals and work closely with our in-house SEO team to grow organic traffic, while activating content through brand campaigns that fuel social and media coverage.

You'll need a creative and analytical mindset to drive our content performance, and be comfortable diving into data to refine content strategy.

As a leader at Clutch, you'll foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and high performance within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Content Editorial Strategy :
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy focused on driving traffic, buyer acquisition, and brand awareness that aligns with company goals to target key B2B audiences across targeted personas and verticals.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of managers and specialists in both content and brand marketing. Ensure alignment with career development plans and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :
  • Work closely with the SEO team to optimize content for search visibility and follow SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation team for generating content for email acquisition and lifecycle engagement.
  • Partner with product and design teams to ensure content is optimized for discoverability and on-site engagement. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to deliver campaigns that align with broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Performance and KPI Management :
  • Set and track OKRs for the content and brand teams. Use data-driven insights to monitor performance against traffic forecasts, engagement benchmarks, and awareness goals.

Continuously optimize campaigns to meet and exceed objectives.

  • Brand Marketing & Content Promotion :
  • Lead brand-building campaigns, including overseeing PR, social media campaigns, influencer & media partnerships, and other brand activation efforts to activate sharing of content in market.

Ensure consistency in brand messaging and content across all mediums, including email, social, video, and web.

  • Budget and Resource Management :
  • Oversee content and brand marketing budgets. Ensure campaigns and content production are delivered within budget and deadlines, driving the highest business impact to optimize for ROI across campaigns.
  • Innovation and Experimentation :
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning, testing, and innovation. Leverage insights from analytics platforms (Looker, Sparktoro, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, etc.

  • External Partnerships :
  • Manage relationships with external content producers, influencers, media partners, and agencies. Ensure alignment of external resources with internal strategies to maximize ROI on brand marketing efforts.
  • Stakeholder Communication :
  • Present content and brand marketing strategies, results, and business impacts to executive leadership. Provide clear and actionable insights through executive presentations, performance reviews, and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10-12+ years of experience in content and brand marketing, with a strong track record in leading successful campaigns and strategic initiatives.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in people management, with demonstrated leadership skills to develop and train teams.
  • Strong command of content marketing and brand best practices, with a mix of B2B and DTC experiences to adapt strategies to different buyer audiences.
  • Experience creating and promoting content to B2B buying audiences is a must-have for success in this role, with a proven portfolio of widely distributed and engaging content for B2B personas.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and how to build content that ranks and drives engagement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects, setting OKRs, and using performance data to drive decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analytics platforms (GA4, Looker, Hotjar, Google Search Console, Ahrefs) and the ability to draw insights for content performance and optimization.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex concepts to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in managing budgets and external partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving customer engagement through integrated brand and content campaigns across digital, social, email, and web platforms.
  • Experience in managing creative requests, developing briefs, and delivering high-quality content on time and within budget.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in Clutch's annual performance bonus program and any applicable incentives, which will be communicated during the hiring process.

Salary at Clutch is determined based on factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, and market. For this position, we expect a base salary range between $140,000 and $160,000.
