This is a temporary position that will last until 9 / 30 / 2024

Financial Empowerment I ntern will play a key role in supporting ULMS mission to provide comprehensive financial literacy and empowerment services.

This intern will assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring financial programs aimed at uplifting underserved communities.

This position also includes grant writing and quality assurance. Intern will work closely with the Financial Empowerment department to secure funding that sustains and expands the organizations program.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interest in personal finance and / or community empowerment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and trust quickly
  • Experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, when necessary, consistent with the demands of the program.

ULMS Total Compensation

  • PTO accrued at 0.07361 per hour worked
  • Employee Assistance Program - $37.80 per year

WA State Paid Family & Medical Leave 0.8% of salary - 100% employer-paid.

Workers Compensation Coverage - $395.20 - $3,591.33 per year (depending on class code)

Taxes 9.8% of salary
