This Facilities / Building Maintenance Mechanic will be tasked with performing skilled maintenance, repair, and minor construction work to ensure that facilities are properly maintained.

The duties may fall into a variety of trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire, safety and security systems as necessary.

Shift : Days / On-Call 24 / 7

Pay : Up to $34 / hour

Essential job duties for this Facilities / Building Maintenance Mechanic will include :

• Performs general and preventative maintenance to a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures
• Maintains mechanical systems, repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, building control systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment / systems
• Constructs and maintains indoor / outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related.
• Maintains boiler operation, hot water systems, process equipment and controls, and industrial piping and valves.
• Maintains induction and air handling units; cleans and inspects all equipment, completes filter changes, lubricates, maintains and services mechanical and refrigeration and / or cooling systems.
• Coordinates maintenance of cooling towers and related equipment.
• Maintain facility logbooks and documentation in accordance with cGMP's / FDA regulated environment.
• Supports maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors and participates in the selection, estimating, costing, review and oversight
• Responds to adverse weather conditions to ensure the facility is protected and remains operational. Assists with tasks required to open facility including snow and ice removal, systems and equipment checks, and start-up operations as assigned.
• Operates company vehicle and is responsible for its safe operation and reporting any observed maintenance needs.

We're looking for Facilities / Building Maintenance professionals with the following background profile / skillset :

• HS Diploma / GED required
• Stationary Engineer License preferred
• 5+ years of similar experience in a mechanical / manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of electrical power and power distribution systems; HVAC systems, plumbing building codes and requirements.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of boiler operation, hot water systems, process equipment and controls, and industrial piping and valves.
• Basic knowledge of pipe cutting and welding.
• Ability to be on call 7 days / 24 hours for security and maintenance.
