MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER

The primary role of the Mechanical Project Manager is to be a resource and provide guidance for McGough's entire construction team regarding MEP systems from pre-construction to project close out, while providing best value to the project and our clients.

Qualifications : Required :

• 8+ years experience with mechanical / electrical contractor / general contractor
• 2+ year experience with MEP Estimating
• Ability to read, understand and identify mechanical / electrical code compliance and constructability issues in design drawings and specifications
• Capable of creating scope of work documents for mechanical / electrical / plumbing / fire protection and low voltage pricing by subcontractors
• Knowledge of mechanical / electrical components and construction costs
• Strong communication skills for directly interacting with Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors and Owners

Office and Travel :

This is a travel position for our National Operating unit. Site is in Ellendale North Dakota. Position included GSA per diem rates and travel home every three weeks (long weekend) provided by company. Project could be as long as 2+ years. All National Operating Unit employees are traveling personnel.

Responsibilities and Tasks :

Review mechanical / electrical design drawings and specifications

MEP contractor selection

As a Member of PM team during construction

Work with construction team through project closeout and commissioning

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise. Occasional standing, bending, walking and lifting is also required.

Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, and climbing stairs.
