Phoenix, LLC is immediately seeking a General Manager (GM) who will lead a team that is poised to become the world leader in commercial neutron imaging.
The leader will strategically position the company to emerge from its initial commercialization stages and scale into an expansion phase.
In particular, the General Manager will simultaneously grow revenue and provide operational leadership by leading an existing facility in Wisconsin and help expand operations where required.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Specific duties and responsibilities of the General Manager include, but are not limited to :
- Build strategic partnerships and relationships to drive growth, profitability and company value.
- Manage competitive threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of the financial structure, capital strategy and strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement scalable and efficient strategies to ensure consistent results and exponential growth.
- Set the vision for the organization and define the overall strategy from management through expansion.
- Establish credibility throughout the customer and partner network.
- Report updates to the COO, Senior Executive Team, Board of Directors and corporate stakeholders regarding progress on strategic goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand customer base.
- Attract, retain and develop world-class talent.
- Cultivate a high-performing and agile team culture.
- Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
- Partner with senior executives across the broader organization.
- Safely drive day-to-day operations.
Requirements :
- Five+ years of experience leading and scaling a high growth start-up, preferably a company with private equity and / or venture funding and 25+ employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree (master’s degree preferred).
- Profit & Loss responsibilities at General Manager or equivalent senior level.
- Proven track record of introducing and building successful product offerings and establishing high performing teams from the ground up.
- Ability to build trust, confidence, consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
- Experience with corporate governance.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
