The Sr. Director - Segment Marketing & Enablement, Global Enterprise Americas, will collaborate with the Verizon Business Group (VBG) Marketing Team to support the development of segment-specific marketing and sales enablement programs for our wireless and wireline business portfolios.

This role will be responsible for guiding a team that provides direct customer and sales marketing & enablement support, leading all segment marketing activation planning and execution tactics.

Additionally, the Senior Director will serve as the segment marketing executive lead and primary Marketing contact for the Global Enterprise Americas Sales Leadership Team.

Collaborating with the cross-functional Marketing organization, this role will establish campaign targeting, base strategy, segmentation strategy, innovative marketing solutions, marketing communication, effective go-to-market (GTM) communications, and ad hoc marketing support.

Working closely with sales leaders, the Senior Director will develop, operationalize, and support the execution of programs that drive sales and revenue, address knowledge and skill gaps, drive understanding and adoption of sales tools and methodologies to improve sales performance and analyze campaign performance to determine impact and recommend next steps.

Furthermore, this role will lead the team driving adoption of the Verizon Velocity Selling sales process in GE Americas.

  • Key to this role is a deep understanding of our Verizon Business Enterprise segment and the ability to drive the creation of segment marketing strategy to target key personas and customer profiles within the segment;
  • the ability to contribute to the development of thought leadership and educational content to drive prospect engagement;

the ability to coordinate with other marketing teams to develop integrated demand programs; and, the ability to ensure that sales leaders and teams have segment specific content to achieve sales and revenue goals.

The Sr Director of Segment Marketing, Global Enterprise Americas, will be a leader who is highly motivated, experienced, and strategic, with hands-on experience that blends both commercial and operational marketing and enablement expertise.

This individual should be analytically driven, digitally-oriented, and viewed by segment sales leaders as a trusted strategic partner.

He or she will directly oversee team members and team leaders. The Sr Director will help their team grow and develop in their areas of expertise and ensure alignment of the work they perform with various stakeholder teams across Verizon Business.

In this role, you will be responsible for

Drive strategic engagement cross-functionally to elevate Global Enterprise America's marketing strategy and messaging and outcome-based solution-selling approach.

Create and own segment marketing plans and budget for Global Enterprise Americas in alignment with segment priorities, initiatives, and sales and revenue targets

Understand and translate the enterprise industry landscape and key issues and trends to provide insights into marketing plans and sales programs

Analyze business performance, industry, and customer trends to identify opportunities to drive growth, address gaps, improve processes, and recommend strategies to align products, positioning, pricing, and promotions to drive sales and revenue advantage.

Own the Enterprise Americas Account Based Marketing plans and drive accountability for delivering programs that meet agreed-upon business targets.

Drive enhanced sales performance through the application of defined enablement programs, such as Verizon Velocity Selling

Lead sales communications and go-to-market activities for Global Enterprise Americas and collaborate with other communications and GTM teams to ensure sales understanding of and readiness for key initiatives such as product launches, promotions, competitive activity

Collaborate with the Event Marketing team to strategically activate GE Americas customer engagement for events, trade shows, hospitality

Streamline messaging & content needed for sales based on key priorities

Collaborate and partner with strategic marketing, product marketing, pricing / promotions, customer engagement, and integrated marketing to drive understanding of segment insights and needs

Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing leadership, and enterprise sales leadership to ensure trajectory to sales and revenue forecasts and business plans.

Provide feedback as the voice of the segment on initiatives and processes; collaborate with broader marketing and enablement teams to address sales knowledge gaps and communication needs

What we're looking for...

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field and / or equivalent work experience; Masters degree / MBA strongly desired.

8+ years of marketing experience.

Experience managing and influencing client relationships at the senior exec level.

Ability to present and interact with all levels of management.

Demonstrated record of direct management experience of managers of individual contributors, including workforce planning, coaching, and managing performance for large teams.

Understanding of key technologies relevant to Enterprise technology and communications landscape

ABM Marketing knowledge and ability to grow ABM marketing approach for Global Enterprise.

Strong writing / presentation skills.

Demonstrated success in developing strategies for creating new customer markets through direct, indirect, digital, field marketing, and account-based marketing programs (omnichannel).

Ability to analyze segment-critical KPI information and translate it into proactive and reactive segment marketing strategies.

C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $177,000.00 and $358,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.

For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
