Responsibilities
Facility Support - Leads & performs the maintenance of building infrastructure that affects operating abilities such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, and equipment crucial for health and safety purposes.
Performs regular inspections, conducts repairs, and addresses work order requests. Manages preventative maintenance activities and schedules, and assists in facility inspections and reports.
May lead in building projects and documents results. Implements site or equipment-specific training exercises. Provides guidance through experience with equipment, protocols, and building infrastructure.
- Vendor Management - Assists with vendor oversight including effective work ordermunications, service ticket management, performance and accountability monitoring, and vendor procurement activities.
- Coordination - Partners with business units, managers, and other stakeholders on planned andpleted work, risks, and impacts.
municates clearly to identify and respond to ongoing equipment issues, and updates appropriately upon resolution. Coordinates efforts of less experienced technicians during group activities or when offering direction onplex matters.
Emergency Response - Responsible for being on-call in emergency work situations and inclement weather.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Base building facilities technician inmercial HVAC and electrical applications OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Base building facilities technician inmercial HVAC and electrical applications
Preferred Education : Technical Degree or Certification in an applicable trade
Preferred Area of Study : HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Automation
Preferred Area of Experience : mercial background in major mechanical and electrical applications
License or Certification Type : Valid driver's license Required
Skill(s) :
Technical background with a focus on HVAC systems, uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), transformers, and generators, Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blue prints and diagrams, building codes, and OSHA codes, Understanding of NEC code and data processing environments, Ability to work indoors and outdoors in environments with noises, fume, cold, heat, etc.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb and work off a ladder, and use safety gear, Ability to travel. Position requires frequent driving to other offices
