Weyerhaeuser is currently recruiting for Industrial Forklift Operators at the Grifton, NC Lumber Mill.

Key Functions

• Total commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible for cleaning the assigned production area - sweeping and removing debris and lumber.
• Safely operates and maintains a gas forklift to unload, move, store, stage, load and unload products
• Safe start up and shut down of equipment in assigned are of responsibility
• Interpreting work instructions adequately and successfully completing tasks as delegated
• Accurately counts units, multiplies, adds, subtracts, and records, totals
• Must demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Communicating with team members and leadership to ensure consistent exchange of information relative to position
• High School Diploma or GED
• Resume detailing education and work history is required for consideration
• Minimum two (2) years of experience operating forklifts and / or other mobile lift equipment
• Willingness and dedication to wear all personal protective equipment required
• Previous Forklift operator certification
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to work within a team to resolve issues and complete tasks
• Able to perform basic math and computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work overtime should conditions require
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule
• Able to work in extreme heat and / or cold
• Able to perform the essential job functions of the position which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting to 50 lbs., stooping and bending
• Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills
• Willingness to work in Grifton, NC without requiring relocation assistance
