Swanberg Construction is seeking skilled and experienced Superintendents for current jobs in North and South Dakota. Responsibilities include the effective planning, delegation, and training of field staff to ensure smooth and safe completion of jobs.
We hire statewide and pay per-diems and reimburse travel expenses.

Pay : $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours : 35 50 per week

Experience :
Construction : 5 years relevant experience in the Commercial, Industrial, and / or Municipal Construction industry
Ability to travel to : Job sites throughout North Dakota and northern South Dakota.
Some responsibilities will include :
Manage multiple site’s day-to-day operations, ensuring jobs are completed on time and within budget
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- Oversee and work with Subcontractors to ensure they are performing quality work in the budgeted time
- Ensure OSHA Compliance with staff and Subcontractors and complete safety reviews while on site
- Communicate effectively with project Foreman and all personnel on site to ensure work is assigned as appropriate
Keep up with project specific required documentation
- Actively engage in employee development to professionally mentor, train, coach, and guide Foremen, Operators, Carpenters, and Laborers on work, organization, safety, and cleanliness
- Inform the Project Manager about problems and potential problems as early as possible
- Perform daily job site inspections, ensure sufficient materials and equipment are available, the areas are clean and materials are organized, and that safety measures are being followed
Maintain positive relationships with Engineers and other trades on site through effective communication
