A brief overview of your facility and what you produce- In this role, you will support Client global monitored fleet of onshore wind turbines to ensure world's best running fleet.
Quickly learn and execute engineering processes related to renewables power generation and Remote Operation Center, control center is on campus.
Qualities / skills
good communication, detail oriented, technical experience. Associates in field is acceptable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is technical troubleshooting in client's Wind Remote Operations Center in Schenectady, NY.
This is a shift based role that needs to be performed on campus. Subject to direct operations supervision / prescribed work instructions / systems checking.
There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Able to proficiently perform the remote troubleshooting of wind turbines and other power assets using digital tools.
- Read, understand, and execute technical troubleshooting documents.
- Document and communicate the technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Adhere to applicable regulatory compliance requirements as applicable.
- Provide timely communications / escalate with the respective stake holders on significant issues or developments observed during day to day monitoring
- Document all work performed via guidelines in approved procedures and appropriate playbook via provided digital tools;
- Actively manage customer phone support requests
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Energy Technologies, Operations or Computer Science from an accredited College or University OR (an Associate's Degree from an accredited College OR University with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role) OR (High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of experience in a technical role)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
- Must be willing to work out of an office in Schenectady NY, on a 24 / 7 rotating shift structure
- Ability and willingness to take initiative
- Strong Communications skills both verbally and written in English
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
