Project Manager 3
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Manager for their Vancouver, Washington location.
In this role, you will lead major process improvement initiatives that enhance Transmission’s Asset Management capabilities.
Collaborating with key staff, sponsors, management, stakeholders, and executives, you will coordinate and implement critical activities to ensure the successful delivery of asset management functions.

Pay Range : $75.00 - $78.00 / HR
Location : Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (3 days per two-week pay period. Subject to change.)
Key Responsibilities for Project Manager :
- Manage assigned projects from start to finish, collaborating with senior management, external entities, and stakeholders.
- Support development of business processes and data requirements for Transmission Asset value chain.
- Facilitate sessions with the Optimization Initiative Demand and Capacity to meet project goals.
- Serve as a liaison with IT to enhance MS Project’s data architecture.
- Draft business cases for Reliability Engineering and asset management initiatives, securing approvals.
- Provide recommendations for annual budget planning by coordinating input from SMEs.
- Lead complex management initiatives and ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
- Assist in defining asset management improvement initiatives, problem statements, and scope.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Advise managers in adapting to new processes and concepts.
- Develop and track project targets, resource strategies, and funding estimates.
- Maintain communication with sponsors, managers, SMEs, and clients on project progress.
- Gather business requirements, conduct needs analysis, and provide gap analysis.
- Implement organizational design, change management, and success planning.
- Alert management of potential changes to project cost, schedule, or performance.
- Recommend process and system design improvements.
- Manage project teams, milestones, issues, and risks.
- Facilitate project meetings, create documentation, and support project transitions.
- Provide technical input and recommendations for project decision-making.
Requirements for Project Manager :
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Development (or closely-related field) is required.
A master’s degree is preferred. 10 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Experience should include direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Project management experience in the electric utility sector with an emphasis on transmission assets is preferred.
- Experience with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle required.
