What : We are looking for caregivers to help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and / or elderly) in their homes.

Help us help the most vulnerable among us stay safe, cared for and connected during this pandemic.

When : During the day. Hours vary depending on the client.

Where : Geauga, Lake, Eastern Cuyahoga, Northern Summit, and Northern Portage Counties. *At this time, we are especially in need of caregivers willing to care for clients in eastern Cuyahoga and western Geauga Counties.*

Pay : Standard hourly shifts start at $12.00 per hour (for shifts 4+ hrs long). Shorter shifts (1-3 hrs) pay higher.

Qualifications

• 18 years or age or older
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pass a criminal background check
• TB test
• Covid-19 Vaccination (or willing to get vaccinated)
• Willing to drive to client's homes up to 30 minutes away
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Good interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred, not required). We'll train if you're willing to learn!
• Ability and willingness to complete online continuing education training classes
• Willingness to follow and enforce health and safety standards
• Reliability : Professionalism and discipline to arrive to clients' homes, on time, every time
• Ability to cook standard American meals

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist them with monitoring vitals
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals and / or assist with feeding
• Run errands for the client or accompany them to successfully do so
• Keep the clients engaged in favorite activities and conversation
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Light housekeeping
