Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your Finance career within a Global testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry.

You will be responsible for managing the financial planning and performance management process to support decision making and improved performance of our fastest growing business unit, Aerospace and Energy!

Responsibilities

Deliver and continuously improve the way we monitor and report performance working closely with colleagues across the organization to meet the reporting needs of the BU.

  • Work with key Business Unit stakeholders to develop Organizational Key Performance Indicators in a way that informs good decision making.
  • Lead and evolve the planning cycle, which is flexible and responsive to ongoing changes.
  • Lead improvement in financial performance with cross functional support.
  • Conduct required business analysis including external insights (Competitors, Markets)
  • Project management of key strategic projects within the Business Unit (M&A, Integrations, Divestments, Larger Capital investments)
  • Develop scenario planning models to simulate future projections and sensitivity analysis.
  • Lead the management of BU capex budget through forecasting, tracking and prioritization. Work cross functionally to develop strong business cases for spend.
  • Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts.
  • Responsible project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including setting financial targets, analyzing performance deviations, and recommending corrective actions.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience at a strategic or corporate level in performance monitoring and reporting, strategic and business planning and supporting organizational change.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to interpret, disseminate and present information to a variety of internal and external audiences in a way that informs and influences their decision making.
  • Experience of establishing and developing performance monitoring tools and reports for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to think and plan strategically and achieve buy-in from the senior leaders in the organization.
  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach : able to work closely and adaptively with the immediate team and collaboratively across the entire organization.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Able to work in partnership with people at all levels, demonstrating strong skills in constructive challenge, facilitation, collaboration, networking and influencing.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills including the ability to balance and independently manage workload that includes multiple concurrent priorities.

Self-motivated, able to set and deliver to deadlines.

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel in particular).
  • Ability to coordinate multiple, often demanding deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work efficiently on numerous tasks simultaneously and to adapt to changing circumstances, often under time pressure.
