The Judge Group has partnered with a manufacturing in the Yuba City area to find a Safety Manager for their team.
This job will have the following responsibilities :
- Understanding of Federal / State environmental and OSHA laws and regulations to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory requirements and permits are being met and implemented
- Develops and conducts safety training for employees
- Oversee the incident investigation process to ensure incidents are investigated and root causes are identified
- Monitor site metrics and conduct report outs of metrics to the plant management team
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment across the plant in all departments for all personnel
- Manage the environmental, safety, and health department at the plant level
- Ensure all programs, policies, and guidelines are followed by all team members and provide any updates to these programs and policies in accordance with government policies
- Maintain all OSHA programs such as Chemical Handling, Construction, Slips / Trips / Falls, Environmental Compliance, DOT compliance, and more
- Provide continuous safety education and training to all employees along with leading new hire orientation through safety training
- Provide regular reports to corporate safety team
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of Safety Experience in manufacturing
- Food, plastics, packaging, or related manufacturing industry experience
