The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. It’s Work That Matters. Overview Purpose Statement / Position Summary : Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Advanced Comprehensive Cardiac Imaging Suite (ACCIS) service.

This role will work collaboratively with Attending Imaging Cardiologists managing patient in our ACCIS with both congenital heart disease and acquired conditions.

The Nurse Practitioner in ACCIS is an advanced practice nurse who provides nursing and medical services to patients, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, obtaining and documenting patient medical history : performing physical examinations;

obtaining procedural informed consent; ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests; prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies in a cost-efficient manner.

Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ health care problems.

Serves as health care resource, interdisciplinary-consultant, and patient advocate. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.

Employee will follow appplicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 3+ years pediatric experience.

1 year of specialty area experience and nurse practitioner experience preferred. Education / Licensure / Certification : Required : Master of Science degree in Nursing from an N.

L.N. accredited graduate school of nursing required. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing for hold out as a Nurse Practitioner as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.

Current California Registered Nurse license and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, Furnishing License, American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications, National Certification as an NP in appropriate field Acute Care PNP certification preferred.

Elligible for DEA certification preferred. Hours : Will include inpatient and outpatient. Shifts can vary between 8hr and 10hr shifts.

00-$246,854.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
