Hiring Teachers for our small and growing school!
University Temple Children's School (UTCS) is seeking talented, reflective and creative individuals to grow with our school in our new location at the beautiful University Heights Building.
UTCS is a non-profit organization and one of Seattle's outstanding early learning centers, providing play-based, child-centered learning in a joyful, nurturing, and safe environment for over 50 years in the heart of Seattle’s University District.
We have low classroom ratios and our teaching teams work collaboratively to give our children and families the best experience.
We are a passionate, supportive, and team-spirited community and are looking for full time lead teachers and full or part time assistants to help implement age and developmentally appropriate curriculums and activities with their teaching teams.
Our teachers are responsible for a safe, nurturing environment that is conducive to learning and exploration, parent communication, and maintaining a daily classroom schedule.
We are hiring for full and part time positions Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 : 45am-5 : 45pm.
Pay range : $17.50-24 / hr DOEE

Qualifications Upon Hiring or During the First 30 Days of Employment :
- Portable Background Check
- Food Handlers Permit
- MMR vaccination and Covid-19 vaccination
- High School Diploma
- Works well with others in a team setting
- 30 Hours STARS Training
- 1 year of experience in child care
- CPR, First Aid, BBP / HIV Training and TB Test.
- Washington State Early Ed teachers need to have an ECE Initial State Certificate or ECE Education degree or plan to obtain one within 3 years.
Schedule :
- 8 hour shift (with a paid hour lunch break!)
- Monday to Friday

High school or equivalent
