Position Overview : The Estimator is responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for construction projects. This position requires a high level of knowledge and experience in construction estimating, budgeting, roofing, siding, and digital takeoff software such as PlanSwift and digital takeoff software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate estimates for construction projects including roofing, siding, and other related labor and materials.
- Analyze plans and specifications and develop cost estimates utilizing digital takeoff software.
- Provide advice to management on the best strategies to manage material and labor costs.
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets.
- Provide project scheduling and management support.
- Assist in the negotiation of subcontracts and materials pricing.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, budgeting, and project management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of roofing and siding construction.
- Proficient in the use of digital takeoff software such as PlanSwift and digital takeoff software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
