Location and Reporting Structure :
This position is based in Miami and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Position Summary :
The Manufacturing Engineer, Level 2, plays a pivotal role in advancing manufacturing processes, contributing to the refinement of new and existing products while leveraging expertise in engineering principles and manufacturing practices.
This role entails a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and materials to address complex challenges, devise innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support various manufacturing projects and optimize processes.
- Leading the development of manufacturing designs, drawings, and concepts using advanced tools such as SolidWorks.
- Providing expert support in resolving intricate manufacturing challenges to surpass project goals and quality standards.
- Spearheading the creation and maintenance of comprehensive manufacturing documentation, encompassing models, drawings, and assembly procedures.
- Guiding the execution of custom manufacturing requests and serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Implementing proactive corrective actions to swiftly address manufacturing issues and enhance efficiency.
- Conducting in-depth research and evaluations to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and technology integration.
- Collaborating seamlessly with team members to ensure manufacturing processes align with engineering and customer specifications.
Experience and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering roles.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing environments.
